What we do
Clearway Counseling is a team is of fully licensed professionals with a wealth of experience treating the whole spectrum of social and emotional health across all ages. Some of our clients are facing issues with family relationships, parenting, marital conflicts, social development, grief and life transitions. Others might have previous diagnoses of Anxiety, ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, Depression, Obsessive Compulsory Disorder or Bipolar Disorder.
Our Services & Programs
As simple as it might sound, laughter truly can be the best medicine. Our therapists look for humor in the moment, find funny in the mundane, and help clients laugh in the face of adversity. Therapy can be difficult, tedious work. Humor is an important part of the therapeutic process, not meant to trivialize challenges, but to create welcome levity to sometimes heavy topics; strengthening the bond between therapist and client.
Parenting Coaching and Family Therapy
The goals of family therapy and parent coaching are similar in that we strive to help family members improve communication, solve family problems, understand and handle special family situations and create a better functioning home environment. For parents, coaching provides a supportive ear, understanding the challenges of raising children in the current environment and strategies to manage them.
For children and adolescents, family therapy can be helpful when there are significant changes to the family structure, for example a blending family or a recent death. Family therapy can collectively offer the family a safe place to work together, develop coping skills as a group and identify the family’s strengths.
Individual Therapy
We believe in a client centered, strength-based model that supports and guides the client through life challenges and celebrates strengths and successes along the way. The cornerstone of our therapeutic work with individuals, families or couples, helping them to identify inherent strengths and use them to find success in therapy.
Perhaps our greatest strength is our collaborative practice providing a critical foundation for effective therapy. We implement a team approach considering the individual, the family and the therapist; each an integral and equal player in the process.
Insurances Accepted
Our clinicians take all forms of Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Behavioral Health, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, United, Tufts, Tricare and Cigna. We are also approved out-of-network providers with Aetna and Unicare. If we have a contract with your health insurance provider, we will bill them and accept payment according to that contract.
Please bring your insurance card to your first appointment so we can make a copy of it.
If we do not have an agreement with your insurer, you must pay at the time of your visit and seek reimbursement from your insurer. We will help you to keep track of how many sessions you have used.
In all cases, you are ultimately responsible for knowing this information and paying for services.
Fees
Sessions for families are scheduled for 45 minutes and individual sessions are 40-60 minutes. If you are unable to arrive on time, we will end at the scheduled time.
If we have an agreement with your insurance company we will collect a co-pay at the session via credit card, cash or check and then bill your insurance company for the session.
Please note that letter writing and phone calls are not billable to insurance companies and we will bill you directly for that time. If we do not have an agreement with your insurance company, the fees are as follows:

Initial Evaluation: $150 per intake

Individual & Family Therapy: $150 per session

Documentation Fees (letters, reports and phone calls over 5 minutes): $2 per minute

Cancellation Policy: 24-hour notice of cancellation is expected to avoid a charge for your scheduled session. Insurance companies cannot be billed for cancellations.
